Each Master Class is an action-packed day
World Class Training
A 6-hour Master Class led by Broadway Artists from NYC, covering dance, voice, acting, and audition techniques.

Audition Materials
You get materials to take home, including a collection of 16 bar audition songs + MP3 tracks.

Swag
Your official National Tour t-shirt!

New Squad
Meet Broadway-obsessed students (like you!), make new friends, and keep hanging and rehearsing together after the Master Class ends.

Mentorship
We wrap things up with an Industry Q&A session. Ask questions about being on Broadway, surviving tough auditions, living in NYC, and what it’s really like to work in this industry.

Sharecase
There’s a Sharecase (Sharing Showcase) at the end of the day. Not a full-on performance, just a chance to share what you’ve learned that day. Parents are invited to watch!

Support for Parents, too
Attend a Parents-Only Q&A session with The Broadway Collective Founder Robert Hartwell. Ask questions about college programs, career paths, fears, funding, anything on your mind. He keeps it real!

WHAT ARE THE AGES FOR THE NATIONAL TOUR MASTER CLASS?

10 and up. Students are split into 2 groups (Youth and Teen/College) and rotated through 4 breakout Master Classes. Each student gets a chance to learn from each Broadway Teaching Artist.

How much is it?

$295. This includes the 6-Hour Master Class, an official National Tour t-shirt, and our exclusive 16-Bar Arsenal: our most coveted collection of audition songs + MP3 tracks.

Are there scholarships?

There are no scholarships for the National Tour. We encourage our students to be active participants in financially making their dreams a reality by fundraising. The truth is that we find a way to make Disney, iPhones, and Nikes fit in our budget. We must do the same for arts education.

We've GATHERED 10 Fundraising Ideas to help you save up and make your Broadway Collective training a financial possibility!

And yes, we've had several students reach their fundraising goals because they made the commitment to overcome their circumstances. Whether it’s babysitting, mowing lawns, getting a part-time job after school, or crowdsourcing your funding, there’s a way to make this happen. You’ve got this!

What is your refund and cancellation policy?

There are no refunds or cancellations. See our Terms + Conditions.

What if I "can't" do one of the disciplines? Should I still come?

We don't believe in the word “can’t.”

You might think, “I’m just a singer. I can’t dance.” Or, “I’m just an actor. I can’t sing.” We want to help you develop a new attitude about yourself, so you can become a more versatile, well-rounded performer.

We don’t expect you to be able to do everything “perfectly.” That’s not the point of this Master Class. Don’t come to be perfect. Come to do the work. Come to learn!

What if I don't belong to the studio where you are holding the Master Class?

EVERYONE IS WELCOME regardless of studio affiliation or experience/skill level! The Broadway Collective is not affiliated with any of the studios we rent from for our National Tour.

Can I observe class on The National Tour?

No. However, we invite parents and educators of registered students back for the Parent Q + A at 11:30am and Sharecase at 12:30pm.

What do I need to wear and bring to The National Tour?

We have a strictly enforced dress code. All black dance clothes AND an official The Broadway Collective tank or tee and Jazz shoes. Please bring a headshot and resume. There is no need to bring your music book or prepared monologues. We will provide sheet music and monologues.

I'M NOT AVAILABLE TO COME TO THE NATIONAL TOUR. HOW DO I STILL WORK WITH YOU?

Mark you calendar to be at our annual summer program—GATHERED NYC: Session 1: June 19th-23rd / Session 2 : July 10th-14th / Session 3: August 7th-11th. This program includes 5 days of Master Classes taught by Broadway casting directors, choreographers, directors, and agents! Plus, you’ll see 3 Broadway shows, have dinner with cast members, and get a taste of what it’s like to live, train, and perform in NYC. This is the ultimate Broadway experience!

Not able to travel right now? Register for HELLO BROADWAY, our online academy. Work with Broadway mentors weekly, learn new techniques, and post assignments right from your living room at home.

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for stopping by!

I remember being your age and telling my mom that I wanted to be on Broadway (I was obsessed with musical theater...especially the CATS soundtrack. I know, no judgments.) The thought of being on Broadway literally sent shivers up my spine. And like me, you’re here because something inside of you craves NYC and the thought of making it on Broadway.

Listen, I can’t put you in a Broadway show, but I can teach you what it takes to get there. Broadway may seem like a distant, faraway, almost impossible dream. But it’s not impossible. It is doable.

I want to make you a better singer, dancer, and actor, of course. But more importantly, I want to make you a better worker. I want to help you understand the commitment level and work ethic that Broadway actually requires.

You’re probably scared of doing one of the disciplines we are going to cover in the Master Class. That’s okay! I know you don’t know me yet, but my mom says I’m pretty awesome. I will be right there to encourage you, push you, and root for your dreams.

Talk with your parents and get yourself registered today. I promise: your future self will thank you.

Truly,
Robert Hartwell
Founder and Artistic Director,
The Broadway Collective

The staff is so kind, genuine and ridiculously talented. From the minute you step in the class until you walk out the door you are part of the group and feel at home in the hands of the teachers.Thank you, thank you, thank you! Coulson

It was incredible to see our daughter in a room of kids with way more experience than her and still feel confident enough to put herself out there to learn something. I credit so much of that to the environment Robert and the other instructors create." Nicole

The teachers were just amazing and you could just feel how much they love what they are doing the second you walk in the door. If you child is interested in Broadway then you simply must attend The Broadway Collective. DeAnn

This was unlike any other convention or class she has had. she learned more than I thought possible in this short time. The teachers were energetic and engaging, and of course, talented. Kim
