Jacob Burns is an SAT Prep Coach + Actor in NYC. He scored in the 99th percentile on both the SAT & ACT, was a National Merit Scholar Finalist, and attended Texas State University on a full-ride academic scholarship. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Political Science. Will Prescreen Prep be in person this year?
Yes! Sessions 1 and 3 will have a filming weekend in NYC, while sessions 2 and 4 will be entirely virtual.
Do we get to choose our material?
Your Broadway coaches will help you choose your material! Based on materials and information that you submit to us, your coaches will work with you to select 3 songs, 3 monologues, and 2 dances that will highlight your strengths in the audition room.
Do I have to be Junior in high school in order to do Prescreen Prep?
You must be a Junior or someone who is applying to college musical theatre programs this fall. Perhaps you are someone who is taking a gap year before heading to college. Wonderful! You can totally join us. You simply need to be someone who is applying to and auditioning for colleges in the 2021/2022 school year.
What if I’m taking the ACT instead of the SAT’s?
Even if you’re taking the ACT over the SAT’s, our bootcamp will help you tremendously. Much of the test training you’ll gain from the bootcamp will be applicable to your ACT training.
How many coaches will I have?
You will have an acting, vocal and dancing coach assigned to you your entire journey… along with a wellness coach, stylist, headshot photographer, videographer and essay editor to help you shine!
Is the investment the same for online and in person training?
Yes! If you’re joining us online, you will be given all the necessary materials to create a professional at-home self tape studio. Everything the "in person" students will have, you will have as well.
How will my headshots be taken online?
Our wonderful online headshot photographer is truly a magician when it comes to making your online headshots look out-of-this-world professional and stylized to fit you. You will come to your session ready to go with your best looks, and watch them work their magic for you!
